On The Rag C.I.C. started as an all-female collective founded in response to the clinical and exclusionary gallery space that has typified contemporary art and curatorial practice. We’re working to envision a gallery and exhibition space that is personal, welcoming and encourages discussion and idea exchange between all people from all communities. By curating in reaction to our surrounding architecture, we forge intimate, conversational spaces. We look to create layered visual space, with every nook and cranny ‘activated’.
